After the devastating find that 27 of my shots were simply not there, I wiped my tears and moved on to what I did have. These shots are the two from this shoot that I would like to use in critique. The idea behind these was to bring a sleek glamour to an organic setting, thereby creating a world all its own. I wanted to play off of the Shakespearean notion of nymphs and woodland creatures, thus the white dress and general excess.
Technically or conceptually, I'd love to hear feedback!
I find these pictures very interesting conceptually it is making me wonder a lot on what is going on or what is going to happen next. Like i am very interested in where this lady is going or coming from and i really want to hear about the story and the expressions on it i am not sure what it means yet, i would like to see this in real life to see it up closer and the environment is very interesting and unique for me.
ReplyDeleteThe top image is really well done; the pose I especially enjoy, because she is participating in the act of placing the glamour with the organic rather than looking at it. However, I do like how she is sitting on a stump. It's like she is the glamour on the organic, just like how the ornaments are the glamour on the organic tree.
ReplyDeleteExcess it is.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the first one. The way her dress lays it has a strong appearance of motion. Both are very mysterious and have an aura about them thats really interesting. For the top one, I would like to see more of the contrast that the second one has.
ReplyDeleteMaybe its me putting one and one together with the photos with the blood, but I'm getting a real creepy sense from these pictures. In terms of composition I like the top picture better than the second, the darks and lights in that picture are really great.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are both gorgeous! They look very professional, almost as if you took them straight out of a vogue magazine.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are both beautiful but they are kinda creepy. In my opinion there is an ominous tone
ReplyDeletejarred these are awesome i definitely get the idea of forrest fairy or nymph. Im wondering what the crystal balls resemble though curiuos about what you have to say during critique.
